The Spring Festival refers to the traditional Chinese New Year in the cultural circle, commonly known as "Nian Festival", the traditional name for the New Year, Nian, New Year, but verbally also called the year, celebrate the New Year, the New Year, is the most solemn traditional festival of the Chinese nation.

To celebrate this festival, in the thousands of years of historical development, some relatively fixed customs have been formed, many of which are still passed down to the present. During the traditional festival of the Spring Festival, the Han nationality and most ethnic minorities in our country have to hold a variety of celebration activities, most of these activities to worship God and Buddha, worship ancestors, remove the old and the new, welcome the jubilee and pray for a good year as the main content. The forms of activities are rich and colorful, with strong national characteristics. On May 20, 2006, the "Spring Festival" folk custom was approved by The State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
